I live in a building where a lot of my neighbors are Indian, so maybe Google assumes I must live in a Hindi-speaking household because of similar IP addresses.
Lately, it feels like Google is convinced I’m into Hindi stuff. Ads, movie recommendations, and random videos are in Hindi. It’s not that I hate it—I just don’t understand Hindi, so this content is completely useless for me.
Here’s the problem:
Random Recommendations: Google is throwing Hindi ads, Bollywood movies, and other stuff in my feeds.
Language Issue: I can’t use or enjoy this content because I don’t speak Hindi.
Can’t Fix It: I’ve tried to adjust things, but I can’t seem to make Google stop showing me this stuff.
I’ve had this account for 15 years, and I don’t want to risk messing up important things tied to it. Anyone know how to get Google to stop doing this? I’d love some help.

That’s strange. When I moved to Tamil Nadu, I started getting Tamil content, which I didn’t understand. I just kept hitting ‘Not Interested’ and eventually, it stopped.

You probably need to do it consistently for a couple of weeks. I had a similar issue with Hindi reels. After clicking ‘Not Interested’ every single time, it finally stopped.

It doesn’t work for me on YouTube. I’ve hit ‘Not Interested’ on hundreds of videos, but Google still insists on showing me certain types of content—sometimes really disturbing stuff I’ve never searched for. It feels like clicking ‘Not Interested’ only makes Google think I’m engaging with it, so it keeps sending more of the same.

Actually, my ban was removed after I challenged it. So maybe I wasn’t rude like you think.
I’m not so sure. In one of your posts, you said, “Have you been online? It’s everywhere. They just flood SEO with trash.” That could easily come off as rude. Maybe the mods just decided to let it slide this time.
Try checking your region settings. Here’s a link to Google’s search settings: Search Settings. It might be set to something that’s triggering the recommendations.

I already checked that, and all my settings are set to local. Nothing seems out of place.
Make sure it’s set to your exact country and not just the general region. If that doesn’t help, try clearing cookies and cache. Sometimes, cookies store data that leads to these targeted recommendations.
