I shipped my PC to myself 3,000 miles away, and it worked fine. But when I shipped it back another 3,000 miles, it’s not working. No post beep, case fans are not spinning (but the CPU and power fans do spin), and there’s no video signal. Any ideas?
I would attach a video, but this forum doesn’t allow it. I noticed that a USB cable came off the motherboard, so I plugged it back in. I also noticed a piece of the front panel broke off. I guess they were rougher on the return trip, or maybe I didn’t pack it well enough. But everything else looks fine.
Did you pull out the GPU for shipping? Just a heads up, all carriers like FedEx or UPS say anything you ship must be able to handle a 3-foot drop. Do you think your PC was packed well enough to handle that?
@Bela
I agree with that. Pull the RAM and GPU, reset the CMOS, reseat all the connections to/from the PSU, and try inserting the RAM (if your CPU supports integrated graphics, try it without the GPU). Then, insert the GPU and test. If that doesn’t work, you may need to do a more detailed breadboard test of your PC.
