So every time my PC crashes or freezes (sometimes even right after logging in), I have to turn the power off manually. But when I turn it back on, the PC boots up automatically without me pressing anything. It then takes me to this American Megatrend BIOS screen, and I can’t seem to get past it. If I try, it just says ‘reboot and select proper device’ on repeat.
I have to go into the BIOS, fix the boot settings to UEFI, and that usually works… until it crashes again. It tends to crash with a random pixelated glitch screen, and I’m forced to go through the whole process all over. I’m at a loss here… what’s going on?
Looks like you’re dealing with a few different problems here. The ‘reboot and select proper device’ message often means your hard drive is on its last legs, or it’s failing to detect a proper boot device. That could explain why you have to keep setting it to UEFI.
As for it powering on automatically, some BIOS settings can be set to turn the PC on after a power outage, which might explain that behavior.
I’d suggest starting with checking the hard drive. If it’s failing, replacing it with an SSD would be a solid upgrade. You might have other issues, but this is a good first step.

Also, it randomly resets the settings I’ve changed, and now I’m getting a ‘Code 43’ error with my AMD graphics driver. This thing is cursed.
And why is someone downvoting me? Just trying to get some help here.
