Hey guys, I’ve been trying to access this channel on Telegram (Telegram: Contact @debugsphere) that’s labeled as a porn channel (which I think is ridiculous), but I can’t get in. I’ve looked into some solutions online that mention adjusting a Privacy and Security setting to view sensitive content, but that option doesn’t appear in my settings. I’ve tried all the different Telegram clients; Android, Desktop, web, and Telegram X but no luck. I don’t have an iPhone to check, but I doubt it’s different there either.
It’s actually a setting in Telegram Web. They’ve relocated it in the new version.
You can find it under Privacy and Security, then click on “Disable Filtering”.
This issue seems to primarily affect iOS users. If you’re having trouble on other platforms, it might be a ban. Personally, I haven’t had any problems accessing it, even on iOS.
Like I mentioned earlier, I don’t see the option for “disable filtering” in my privacy and security settings. Here’s a screenshot of how it looks on my Web Telegram:
Could it be that you’re in a country where such content is geographically blocked? I know this applies to countries like Iran and possibly some other places in the Middle East.
I recommend trying the Android client that isn’t from the Play Store. You can download the APK directly from Telegram’s website and install it. This version typically doesn’t have the same restrictions.
