How do you Delete Discord Chat Messages?

Hey Comrades,

I’ve been using Discord for a while and I’m wondering how to delete chat messages. Is there a way to delete messages I’ve sent or received in private chats or servers? Any tips on managing Discord chats would be really helpful!

To delete the entire chat history with a person in Discord:

  1. Open the Discord app and navigate to the conversation with the person whose chat history you want to delete.
  2. Right-click on the user’s name or profile picture in the chat window.
  3. In the dropdown menu, select “Delete Messages”.
  4. In the confirmation dialog, select “Delete All” to permanently delete the entire chat history with that person.

Apart from laboriously deleting each message one by one, there is no method to accomplish this; nevertheless, you can only delete your own messages.
I guess banning the individual is the “best” way to avoid unintentionally receiving these messages in a direct message.
