I’ve been trying to figure out how to join the TikTok Shop affiliate program without having 1,000 followers. I heard there’s a way, but it seems risky. Has anyone tried it? Any advice on how to avoid getting banned?
Yeah, I’ve heard about that method too. You basically set up a temporary business account. But I’m not sure it’s worth the risk… TikTok might shut it down anytime.

Exactly! I tried it last month, and it worked at first, but my shop got banned after a week. If you’re going to do it, just be prepared for that.
@Dru
That’s what I’m worried about. Seems like a lot of effort for something that could be shut down quickly. Did they give you any warning before banning it?
@Dru
They usually don’t give warnings. I’ve seen others get banned for violating the terms even when they thought they were in the clear.
I’ve been thinking about doing it too, but I’d rather wait until I have 1,000 followers. Seems like a safer bet in the long run.

Yeah, I agree. Hitting the 1,000 follower mark is tough, but at least you won’t have to worry about your shop getting banned.
Anyone know how long it takes to get accepted into the program after you apply?

It usually takes about 1 to 3 business days, from what I’ve seen. As long as you meet the requirements, it should be a smooth process.
If you’re serious about making money on TikTok, I’d say just focus on growing your followers first. It’s less stressful that way, and you won’t have to worry about bans.
