YouTube Chapters Timestamps Not Working

Hey everyone,

I’ve been trying to implement chapters in my YouTube videos to make navigation easier for viewers, but I’m running into some trouble. Despite ensuring that my first timestamp starts at 00:00, listing at least three timestamps, and making sure each chapter is at least 10 seconds long, the chapters still aren’t showing up. I’ve double-checked that the language of the chapters matches the video’s language and that there are no active strikes on my channel. It’s been over 72 hours since I added the timestamps.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? How did you resolve it? Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, especially if there’s something obvious I might be missing.

Also, has contacting YouTube support helped anyone in a similar situation? I’m considering sending them feedback through the YouTube Studio but would love to hear if that’s been effective for anyone else.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Ensure language matches, and review community guidelines. Wait 72 hours for processing. If the issue persists, reach out to YouTube support for help through YouTube Studio. Be patient and thorough in troubleshooting.

I had a similar hiccup when I tried to add chapters to my YouTube vids. It was frustrating, to say the least! But here’s the thing: after some trial and error, I realized that sometimes it takes a bit longer for those chapters to show up.

If you’re still stuck after that, reaching out to YouTube support could be a game-changer. I know it can feel like tossing a message into the void sometimes, but hey, it’s worth a shot! Plus, I’ve heard from a buddy that they actually do respond sometimes. So, fingers crossed for ya!
