This is probably the weirdest question I’ve ever had to ask, but does anyone know why my Mac keeps suggesting ‘2019satanicblowjobs’ every time I type ‘20’? I’ve never typed this before, and it doesn’t show up in Google searches either. Could this be some kind of prank? If anyone has an idea, I’d love to know!
Check the text replacement settings on your Mac. Someone might’ve added it as a joke. I’ve done similar pranks before, and it’s always hilarious watching the person try to figure it out.

This is probably it. Back in the navy, I changed a coworker’s autocorrect in Word so ‘the’ became ‘the itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout.’ It worked across all their Office apps, including email!
@irmah
We used to mess with each other’s email signatures at work. I once replaced my buddy’s phone number with 867-5309 in his signature. His boss wasn’t thrilled.

Why did you put that song in my head now?

I’ve checked the text replacement settings already. There’s nothing there.
Sounds like a prank. Someone might’ve set up a keyboard suggestion as a joke. Check the settings for any custom entries.

Just a heads-up, Mac is the computer, and MAC refers to a network address. They’re not the same.
@Ezra
My boss mixes those up all the time, and it drives me nuts.
@Ezra
Thanks for pointing that out! I’ll try to remember that in the future.
Have you ever visited Tumblr? There’s a user called ‘satanicblowjobs’ on there. Could it be related?

Wow, that might be it. I use Tumblr but don’t remember visiting their page. This is so random.
@Jane
They’re a makeup artist, I think. Do you follow any makeup pages?

No, I don’t follow anything like that. Maybe I reblogged one of their posts in 2019?

That’s unlikely. For something to appear in autocomplete, it would need to be typed manually at some point.
@Evans
I can’t think of any reason I’d type ‘2019satanicblowjobs.’ Maybe I have a weird alter ego who’s into demon stuff?
Where are you typing ‘20’? Browser? Notes? Text messages? Different apps might handle autocomplete in their own ways.

It happens everywhere—texts, Notes, browser searches. You name it.
@Jane
Try checking System Settings > Keyboard > Text Input. There might be something in there you can reset.
