The following will happen if you block someone on Discord:
- Private messages: The blocked user won’t be able to send you private messages. If they try, they will receive an error message indicating that their message could not be delivered.
- Server messages: In any servers you share, their messages will be hidden from you. You will see a notification that a message is blocked, and you can choose to view it if you want.
- Friends list: If the person was on your Friends list, they will be removed immediately.
- Pings and mentions: The blocked user will not be able to ping you or mention your username in shared servers.
- Notifications: The blocked user will not receive any notification that they have been blocked. They will just see a generic error message if they try to message you.
- Profile visibility: They can still see your messages in shared servers and know when you’re online, but they will not be able to see your “About Me” section.
