What does everyone use Pinterest for?

I have never fully understood the appeal of Pinterest. I have the app and enjoy it, but I am not sure I grasp how people use it day-to-day. Do people mainly just search for and look at pictures? What’s the purpose of creating all those themed boards?

I saw a tweet on X’s former Twitter describing Pinterest as “social media without the social,” which is an intriguing concept. But I still feel like I am missing something about how to truly get the most out of the platform.

As an outsider looking in, I feel like I’m just scratching the surface of what the app has to offer. Sharing your personal experiences could help me better appreciate Pinterest’s unique features and use cases.
