I’ve been using Discord for a few years now and am ready to start a business, but this is my first time setting up a server. I was considering putting my clients on the same server as an open community I was going to start, where anyone could sign up and talk to people who might not be in my portfolio.
Is this a wise decision? Apart from keeping closed channels for every client, what else must I do? Is the risk too great?
Combining clients and an open community in one Discord server can work, but you’ll need to be careful. Make sure you have private channels for clients, clear rules, and active moderation to keep things professional. It’s a balance, but if managed well, it can foster a strong community while keeping client info secure.
