I’ve been debating between Slack and Discord for a team project. Slack seems more organized for work, but Discord has cool voice features. Anyone here tried both?
Yeah, I’ve used both. Slack is awesome for keeping things professional – threads, DMs, all that. Discord’s more casual though, especially with voice chats.

Totally agree. Slack feels better for work, but Discord’s voice channels are perfect for community vibes.

Does Slack have anything like Discord’s push-to-talk?
@Hadley
Not exactly. Push-to-talk is more of a Discord thing. It’s useful for keeping calls quiet till you’re ready to speak.
Slack also has a ton of integrations. I linked it with Google Drive and Asana, which is great for our workflow.

How many integrations does Discord have? I only know of Twitch and YouTube.
@Nico
Discord has way fewer. You can add bots for tasks, but Slack’s got over 2000 app integrations. Perfect for work teams.
Anyone know about file sharing limits? I heard Slack’s higher, but not sure about Discord.

Yep, Slack lets you send up to 1GB. Discord’s free version is just 8MB, but Nitro lets you go up to 100MB.

That’s a big difference, especially if you’re sending large files. Slack’s better for that.
Which one’s better for voice calls? I heard Discord’s got the edge there.

Discord wins for sure! It’s got voice channels where you can just drop in, no need to start a call.

And you can have up to 5000 people in a voice channel if you’re on Nitro. Pretty wild for big communities.
Anyone tried Slack’s Huddles? Apparently, it’s good for quick calls and screen shares.

Huddles are great! Works well for small team chats. No Discord needed if you just need audio for quick stuff.

Sounds handy. Slack keeps everything professional, so it’s ideal if you’re managing a remote team.
