Just got an XFX Speedster RX 6800 from Amazon, and when I restart my PC, the monitors stay off. I checked it on another PC, and same thing happens. Occasionally, I also get a blue screen, but that’s not the main issue. It’s mainly that after restarting, the monitors don’t come back on (maybe it’s not detecting the GPU even though it’s powered on?). If I power off and back on, everything shows up fine. Drivers are all up to date, and I even used DDU to remove old drivers. Could this brand-new GPU be faulty, or is there something I’m overlooking?
Got another blue screen today with error code: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000003b (0x00000000c0000005, 0xfffff8024962e17e, 0xfffff20fb5fde870, 0x0000000000000000). A dump was saved in C:\Windows\Minidumps\111324-39343-01.dmp. Link to dump file.
We need the dump files to see what’s causing the blue screens. Dump files log details from crashes.
If you can log into Windows or Safe Mode, go to C:\Windows\Minidump and check for any dump files. Move the folder to the desktop, zip it, and upload it. You can zip by right-clicking on the folder and selecting ‘Send to > Compressed (Zipped) folder.’
Upload it to a file-sharing site like catbox.moe or mediafire.com. If you don’t have any dump files, follow this guide to set it up so future crashes will save logs. Small Memory Dump is the best option to select.

Seems like a driver issue is messing with the new GPU. Do the BIOS or Windows install screens work for you?
Yeah, I can get into BIOS during startup. I also tried reinstalling Windows and thought I’d upgrade to Windows 11, but when the PC reboots during the install, the monitors go blank, so I couldn’t finish. What makes you think it’s a driver issue?
@MaryJanet
I had a similar issue with another GPU model. Sometimes changing the PCIe slot helps, or double-checking the power cables if the card needs an extra boost.

I’ve had similar issues with some GPUs over the years where they only seem to use certain ports during setup or reboot. Try switching between the HDMI/DP/VGA ports on the card after the computer starts up.
