My sister's PC got this error automatically and now she can't start her computer… any ideas?

You may need to explain what you’re doing and how you got to this point.

Did you mean to say that it always starts up to the “Choose an option” menu?

Well, this isn’t going to be an easy one.

It sounds like Windows’s “BCD” got corrupted and it’s falling into the Recovery system.

This isn’t a simple fix.

Are you there in front of the PC right now?

Are all her important files backed up?

Chances are they’ll erase the disk and reinstall Windows from scratch.

Could you recheck the images? I do agree with u/ggmaniack that these don’t look like error messages…

My sister says that whenever she starts up her laptop, she just gets stuck on that screen and can’t get out of it. Since she’s in another city, I can’t help her directly.
