So, Instagram froze my account because I uploaded a photo of my artwork featuring hand-drawn images of watches I’ve collected. The artwork is about time, and I consider these drawings to be artistic interpretations, not realistic depictions of the watches. In the photo, one of the watches is next to the drawing, but the trademark in the drawing is barely visible since it’s kind of wonky and blurry. I’m not even selling the artwork on Instagram; it’s meant for an exhibition in a gallery next year.
I’ve tried pleading my case, but the email replies from Instagram are vague and robotic. I’m just a small-time artist from a nowhere town, using Instagram to share my work. I typically get 4 to 5 likes per post, rarely more than 15. This situation is just ridiculous.

I can see how frustrating this circumstance is. Though you do not sell or make money from the artwork, it appears that Instagram mistook your creative drawings for possible trademark infringement. As a part-time artist merely attempting to distribute your works, this penalty seems too harsh.
Make sure to stress in your appeal that the drawings are artistic interpretations rather than exact reproductions. Describe the piece as intended for a gallery exhibition rather than for profit. To demonstrate that you are not attempting to manipulate the system, give instances of your low engagement. Point out that you are not violating intellectual property when you use Instagram to share your creative work. You might be able to get your account reinstated with perseverance and a careful appeal.
