What should I do if I keep seeing the ‘This post is age-protected’ message on TikTok? I’m definitely not under 16, but it seems like I’m being restricted from certain content. Is there a way to fix this issue?

To turn off Restricted Mode on TikTok, go to your profile, tap the three lines in the top right, and select Settings and Privacy. Then, scroll to Content Preferences, tap Restricted Mode, and enter your passcode to disable it. If your age is incorrect, you’ll need to contact TikTok support to update it. Clearing the app cache, logging out and back in, or reinstalling the app can also help fix issues.

If the video you are attempting to watch on TikTok is inappropriate for you either because you are under the age of 18 or because you have chosen Restricted Mode, you will see an age-protected error message. The hamburger menu with three horizontal lines will appear in the top-right corner of the next page. Tap it to select “Settings and Privacy.”
After a little downward scroll, choose “Content Preferences.”
Select “Restricted Mode” by tapping it. To turn off the mode, select “Turn Off”.
To fix the problem, check your TikTok settings. You might need to turn off Restricted Mode or correct your age.
