Although it seems like a strange query, it has me curious as to what has transpired. Is it possible to find out if I have been blocked on Facebook Messenger? Since I can still view their profile, I am not blocked. However:
Their active status is no longer visible to me. In this scenario, shouldn’t I see the text “active 1 hour ago” or anything similar beneath their tiny profile image, even if they have turned it off or are just offline?
Messages are sent with a filled circle and a checkmark, but is this a feature that would disappear if access to the message was restricted?
If your message is sent while the person is online, it will transition to delivered almost instantly, typically taking 3 to 4 seconds for a notification unless Messenger is actively open. Read receipts and active status won’t show.
If the message sends but doesn’t deliver, it indicates their Messenger lacks internet access; it will deliver once online. If blocked, you’ll receive a pop-up stating they’re not receiving messages or see ‘This person is unavailable on Messenger’ if blocked from Facebook.
I explored this due to unfortunate circumstances; if sharing helps others, it lessens the sadness of my experience.
