I noticed a couple of Instagram accounts that restrict who can see their followers. I have searched online but have not found any solution other than converting the account to private.
To hide your followers on Instagram without setting your account to private, follow these steps:
- Open the Instagram app and go to your profile.
- Tap the three horizontal lines in the top right corner to access the menu.
- Select “Settings.”
- Tap on “Privacy” in the Settings menu.
- Under the “Connections” section, choose “Followers.”
- Turn off the options for “Allow Others to Find You by Your Contacts” and “Suggestions Are Private.”
By disabling these options, only your current followers will see your followers list. This keeps your follower information private while maintaining your account’s public visibility.
Thank you for your response, buddy. However, I’m having trouble finding anything after point 4—privacy. Could you kindly send me a screenshot of your followers and connection?
Which phone are you using because the the steps to hide Instagram account slightly differ depending on the gadget you using.
Hey, there’s no feature for that right now. You’re stuck with either a private account or a paid verified one. But even with a paid verified account, people can still see your followers list. The only difference is they can’t use the search bar to look for specific people on it. So, you’re kinda limited in that sense.
