While jailbreaking offers more options, it’s not always desired. Here’s the simplest and most effective method if you prefer to avoid that route.

Download and Open Documents by Readdle App: Begin by downloading and launching the Documents by Readdle app from the App Store.

Navigate to Online Video Downloader: Tap on the compass icon within the app to access the built-in web browser. Enter the URL Online Downloader - Save Video/Music from YouTube for Free to visit the online video downloader tool.

Paste YouTube Video Link and Initiate Download: Paste the URL of the YouTube video into the designated text box on the website. Tap on the “Download” button. The tool will process the video and present various output format and quality options.

YouTube Premium is the most straightforward and legal method, providing an easy and reliable way to download videos for offline viewing.
Alternative methods, such as using Shortcuts or third-party apps, exist, but they often operate in a legal gray area and may not always be reliable due to updates and changes in YouTube’s policies.
I simply capture my screen, cut the video, and save it.
