I recently had to delete my Discord server and figured I’d share the steps I followed that worked for me on both the desktop and mobile apps.
How To Delete A Discord Server Through The Desktop App
If you are using the Discord desktop app, deleting your server is just as easy.
- Log into the Discord desktop app using the account associated with the server you want to delete.
- Click on the server name located in the top left corner of the screen and select “Server Settings.”
- From the options provided, choose “Server Settings,” which will direct you to the “Delete Server” page.
- (Optional) Enter the reason for deleting the server, then press “Delete Server” to confirm.
- Your Discord server will now be permanently deleted.
How To Delete A Discord Server Through The Mobile App
If you are using the Discord mobile app, deleting your discord server is just as easy.
- First, open the Discord mobile app and log into the account linked to the server you want to delete.
- Next, tap on the “Settings” icon located in the bottom right corner of the screen. From the list of options, select “Delete Server.”
- On the following page, you will have the option to delete your server and all its associated data. Tap “Delete Server” and confirm your decision.
- Your Discord server is now permanently deleted and no longer accessible.

If you’re the Server Owner, navigate to your server that you want to delete and tap on the server name to pull up a drop down menu. You can also right-click on the server name.

To delete a Discord server, you need to have the necessary permissions as the server owner.
I think in order to delete a Discord server, you’ll need to have administrative permissions for that server.
Click on your server name, go to Server Settings, then Overview, and scroll down to Delete Server.
