How do I unfollow someone on Facebook?

Hello friends, I want to unfollow certain people on Facebook without unfriending them because I have been seeing a lot of their postings there. How do I approach this? Is it easy to cease receiving their updates without upsetting them?

Hello Owen, o unfollow someone on Facebook, you can use one of two methods:

  1. From Their Profile:
  • Visit the profile of the person you want to unfollow.
  • Hover over the “Following” button (or tap the three dots if using the mobile app) near their cover photo.
  • Select “Unfollow” from the menu that appears.
  1. From Your News Feed:
  • Locate a post from the person you want to unfollow in your News Feed.
  • Click the three dots in the top right corner of the post.
  • Choose “Unfollow [Name of Person]”.

Steps for Both Methods:

On Desktop:

  • Go to the profile of the person.
  • Hover over the “Following” button near their cover photo.
  • Select “Unfollow” from the dropdown menu.

On Mobile App:

  • Visit the person’s profile.
  • Tap the three dots below their cover photo.
  • Choose “Unfollow” from the menu.

One thing I have NOTICED WITH FACEBOOK. Looks like Facebook got rid of the unfollow option. Now you can only unfriend people.
