How Do I Unadd Someone on Messenger?

Hi y’all

I want to unadd someone on Messenger, but I’m not sure how to do it. I don’t want to be friends with them anymore and would like to remove them from my contacts list. Can someone guide me through the process of unadding someone on Messenger? Will this also remove them from my Facebook friends list or just on Messenger? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks :yum:

you can swipe left on the entire conversation itself and then select “more”, and then delete.

but if you want to prevent that person from messaging you again, you’ll have to block them on messenger.

Individual contacts in Messenger cannot be deleted, however you can block a user’s profile at any time. They will not show up in your app if you block them. Note: If you have continuous syncing enabled, your phone contacts will be imported once more.

Unfortunately, you can’t directly remove someone from Messenger without also unfriending them on Facebook. However, here are some alternatives:

  1. Block Them on Messenger: This will stop them from messaging you on Messenger without needing to unfriend them on Facebook. To do this:
