I discovered Vanish Mode on Instagram the other day and tried it out, but now I can’t seem to figure out how to turn it off. Can anyone walk me through the steps to disable Vanish Mode?
Any tips or tricks would be appreciated. TIA.
Disabling Vanish Mode on Instagram is straightforward.
Follow these steps:
- Open the Instagram app and go to your Direct Messages by tapping the messenger icon in the top right corner.
- Open the chat conversation where Vanish Mode is enabled.
- Swipe up on the chat window. A circular indicator will appear at the bottom with a message like “Release to turn off vanish mode.”
- If nothing happens when you swipe up, ensure you’re swiping within the chat window and not on the entire screen.
- Release your finger once the circle is fully filled. This will disable Vanish Mode for that specific chat.
You should now be able to see your messages and any media shared in the chat normally, even after leaving the conversation.
