How do I stop hackers messing with my accounts?

Hi everyone, I really need help. Since last night, someone has been trying to hack me. They got into my Instagram, Google, and Vinted accounts. I’ve already changed all the passwords, but I’m scared they’ll come back. How do I stop these hackers for good? Please help!

What exactly are the hackers doing with your accounts?

I think I’m okay for now because I’ve received security notifications, and all my accounts require 2FA, so it’s harder for them. I’ve also used Malwarebytes, deleted suspicious apps, and cleared old files. So far, they’ve just tried to change my passwords. They haven’t done anything with my bank accounts because I made sure they were secure.

@Maryjane
You should change the passwords for all the affected accounts. That will log them out everywhere. Just make sure they don’t somehow get your new passwords the same way they got the old ones.

I’ve started using a VPN for extra security. But even today, they’ve tried messing with my Vinted accounts and one of my Google accounts. They tried to log me out, but I managed to stop them.

You should reset the email account tied to all of these accounts.

How do I do that exactly?

I’m guessing all your accounts are connected to the same main email, like EXAMPLE@gmail.com? Most services send verification emails to your main email when someone tries to log in. If that’s the case, sign into your main email account and change its password too. You’ll usually find the option to change it in the settings.

I’ve changed the passwords for my Instagram, Google, and Vinted accounts. Is there anything else I need to do?

This could be social engineering.

What does that mean?

Change all your passwords and make sure your bank account is secure too.
