How do I send disappearing photos on Telegram?

I’ve heard that you can send disappearing photos on Telegram, but I’m not sure how to do it. Does anyone know the steps? I want to make sure the photos disappear after being viewed.

It’s pretty easy. When you’re in a chat, tap on the attachment icon, choose your photo, and then tap the little timer icon. You can set it to disappear after 3, 10, or 30 seconds.

Yeah, once you set the timer, the photo disappears after the recipient opens it. I usually go for the 10-second option.

Just remember that the photo only disappears after they view it, so if they don’t open it, it stays there until they do.

For iOS, it’s the same process. After selecting the photo, tap the timer icon and pick the duration. The photo will disappear based on the timer you choose.

I use it all the time on iPhone. It’s super useful if you want to keep your photos private.

What happens if the person screenshots the photo? Will it notify you?

Yep, Telegram notifies you if the recipient takes a screenshot of the disappearing photo, so at least you know if they try to save it.

The disappearing photos are great for quick shares, especially when you don’t want the media to stick around.
