I’ve been noticing that downloading files on Telegram is really slow lately. I’m using mobile data, but it takes forever to download even small files. Any tips on how to fix this?
It’s probably because you’re on mobile data. Switching to Wi-Fi usually helps a lot with the download speed. Mobile data tends to be slower, especially for large files.

Yeah, Wi-Fi makes a big difference. I had the same issue when I was on data, and switching to Wi-Fi made the downloads way faster.
Another thing to try is clearing Telegram’s cache. Go to Settings, then Storage Usage, and clear the entire cache. It can free up space and make the app run smoother.

Clearing the cache worked for me. I had so much data stored that it slowed things down.
If you’ve limited your data usage in the app, it can slow down downloads too. Go to Settings, then set both Cellular and Wi-Fi data usage to High for faster downloads.
If you’re using a VPN, try disconnecting it. I noticed my download speed improves a lot when I’m not connected to a VPN.
Large files tend to download slower on mobile data. If none of the above work, you might just need to be on a stronger network or wait for the download to finish.
