I am looking to deactivate my Facebook account, but I am not sure how to do it. Can someone guide me through the steps? Also, is there anything I should be aware of before deactivating, like what happens to my data or how easy it is to reactivate later?
Deactivating Facebook is pretty easy. Just go to Settings > Your Facebook Information > Deactivation and Deletion. Choose Deactivate and follow the steps. But before you hit that button, remember you won’t show up in searches or your friends’ lists, but Facebook keeps your data just in case you want to come back. Reactivating is as simple as logging in again.
Tap in the top right of Facebook.
Scroll down and tap Settings & privacy, then tap Settings.
Tap Personal and account information.
Tap Account ownership and control.
Tap Deactivation and deletion.
Tap Deactivate Account, then tap Continue to account deactivation and follow the instructions to confirm.
