I want to cancel my Facebook account but am not sure of the exact steps. Could someone guide me through the process of deactivating or permanently deleting my Facebook account?

Here are the steps you can use to cancel your facebook account

  • Access your Facebook account by logging in

  • On the top right, click on the downward arrow and select 'Settings

  • Click on the first box as ‘Meta Accounts Center

  • Find the ‘Account settings’ and click on the ‘Personal details

  • Next, click upon ‘Account ownership and control

  • Then, you will find that option as ‘Deactivation or deletion

  • Choose your Facebook account or page, you want to delete

  • Facebook will guide you through the final steps. Confirm your password and complete any additional prompts

I recently decided to cancel my Facebook account and found the process pretty straightforward. If you want to deactivate your account temporarily, go to your Facebook settings, select “Your Facebook Information,” and choose “Deactivation and Deletion.” Follow the prompts to deactivate. For permanent deletion, you’ll select “Permanently Delete Account” instead. After you confirm, Facebook gives you a grace period of 30 days to change your mind. If you don’t log in during that time, your account and all its data will be permanently deleted. Just make sure to save any photos or information you want to keep before you start the process!

Brother, stay off Facebook. The hackers there are insane. I was extorted for $100 to restore my account, and after that, I permanently erased everything on there. My entire family has removed their Facebook accounts. It’s not safe.
