Hackers got into my accounts… how do I stop them?

Hi everyone, I need some advice. Last night, someone hacked into my Instagram, Google, and Vinted accounts. I’ve already changed the passwords for all of them, but I’m really worried they’ll try again. How do I get rid of these hackers for good? Please help!

What exactly have the hackers done to your accounts?

I think I’m safe for now. I’ve received security alerts, and all the apps use 2FA, which helps. I’ve run Malwarebytes, deleted any suspicious apps, and cleaned up files. So far, all they’ve done is try to change my passwords. Luckily, they haven’t touched my bank accounts since I made them secure.

@DONNAH
Make sure you’ve changed the passwords for all your affected accounts. That will log the hackers out and block them from getting back in… unless they find your new passwords the same way they got the old ones.

I’ve started using a VPN to stay safer. But today, they’ve tried to mess with my two Vinted accounts and one Google account. They even tried to log me out, but I stopped them in time.

You should reset the email account linked to all these accounts.

How do I reset my email account?

I’m guessing all your accounts are tied to one email, like EXAMPLE@gmail.com? Hackers usually need access to your email to confirm any changes. Log into that email account and change the password. You can find the option in the settings menu.

This could be a case of social engineering.

What does that mean?

Change all your passwords and make sure your bank accounts are secure too.

You might want to check for carbon monoxide leaks. It sounds unrelated, but some strange behavior with devices can come from odd symptoms.
