Can you see deleted messages on Discord and report abusive content?

Is it possible to see deleted messages on Discord? And if someone is being abusive, how do I report them?

Deleted messages are gone permanently – Discord doesn’t keep them. Once they’re deleted, they can’t be viewed.

Yep, it’s a privacy thing. Discord even confirms that deleted messages are wiped from their servers.

If it’s abusive content, report it as soon as you see it. On mobile, long-press the message and tap ‘Report’.

On PC, use Discord’s support form for reporting. You’ll need the message link, which you can copy before it’s deleted.

If you’re an admin, adding a bot like Dyno can help. It’ll notify you when messages are deleted, but it won’t keep the actual message content.

Logger bot works too – it tracks deletes, joins, and leaves, and it’s easy to set up.
