Hot take: if you don’t want the latest and greatest apple silicon, getting an M3 right now is an arguably great time.
Well, the prices will drop by a couple hundred when the new ones come out and stores start clearing out old stock.7
$100 but Apple usually discontinues anything besides the base model(s) of the previous generation. So after this M4 Pro announcement I can only assume the M3 8/8/8 CPU, GPU, RAM variant will retail at $1499 instead of $1599 and next year the M4 Air will drop the M3 8/8/8 to $999 from $1099
Nothing crazy, but usually the third party market goes volatile as people trade in and third party companies start picking up refurbs
Are refurbished ones yet available?
Like wanting something as stable and reliable as possible when buying new instead of having to wait for the new one to be in the sane state after release since your likely stuck with the newest OS on it when it comes out.
Only if it’s reasonably discounted, right?
M4 has some improvements in single-core performance (20% or so).
