Adapt a left-to-right gesture on a smartphone?

Is there a way to make Discord for Android allow me to swipe from right to left on a server without having to reach up with my tiny thumbs to the magnifying glass in the upper right corner of the screen to reply to people?

Yes, there is a way. I had the same problem with my tiny thumbs. You can enable “Swipe Navigation” in the Discord settings. Just go to User Settings > Behavior > Swipe Navigation, and toggle it on. Now, you can easily swipe left and right between servers and chats without reaching for the magnifying glass. It made my experience much smoother, and I can guarantee it will help you too.

I also had this issue with my small thumbs. What worked for me was changing the settings to enable swipe actions. Go to settings > appearance > then enable swipe for actions.

When I faced similar challenges using Discord on my Android device, I found that custom gestures or shortcuts weren’t natively supported for swiping between server channels. To improve navigation, I explored alternative solutions like using a third-party app to customize gestures or relying on Discord’s built-in features such as server channel tabs and the swipe gestures for navigation within channels. While these solutions don’t perfectly replicate swipe-to-reply functionality, they can make the overall experience more manageable for users with smaller screens.
